  • Tennessee Titans coach Mike Mularkey recently told Titansonline.com that rookie running back Khalfani Muhammad’s speed can provide “a different change up“ to a backfield that features DeMarco Murray and Derrick Henry.
  • Muhammad, who boasts a 4.35 40 time, finished third in Cal history with 4,575 career all-purpose yards. While he excelled on kickoff returns, he struggled to create big plays in the run game.
  • Behind an offensive line that didn’t have a player earn a PFF run-blocking grade higher than 70.4 last season, Muhammad recorded only 10 runs of 15-plus yards last season, which ranked 107th in the nation.
  • His 46.9 elusive rating ranked 126th in FBS (minimum 88 rushing attempts).
  • While his production with the football wasn’t eye-popping this past season, Muhammad excelled in pass protection. His 98.2 pass-blocking efficiency rating ranked ninth in this year’s class of running backs.
