Ravens might be next visit for TE Barnidge

  • Following the release of TE Dennis Pitta and the year-long suspension of TE Darren Waller, Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun says that taking a look at free agent Gary Barnidge would “make sense” for the Baltimore Ravens.
  • Barnidge is coming off two productive seasons in Cleveland, where he finished with overall grades of 80.5 and 70.6, respectively. In 2015, he averaged 1.76 yards per pass route run, ranking 11th of 39 tight ends with at least 30 targets. In 2016, he averaged 1.21 yards per pass route run, ranking 31st of 40 tight ends with at least 30 targets.
  • In 2015 Barnidge gained 174 yards on deep passes (passes that travel more than 20 yards in the air), ranking third of 46 tight ends. In 2016, he gained 103 yards on deep passes, ranking 15th of 56 tight ends.
