  • In a recent sitdown with Tyler Dunne of Bleacher Report, Washington CB Josh Norman got a chance to share his thoughts on the state of the NFC East and the receivers against whom he will be lining up against twice a year. “Trust me when I tell you, it's going to be bad blood this year,” he said. “I’m letting all hell break loose.”
  • When asked for a word associated with Cowboys WR Dez Bryant, Norman responded; “That's a guy. Just a guy. Dez was Dez in 2012, '13, '14. Maybe '14. Now? He's a guy.” Since 2014, Bryant has only appeared in 22 games, recording 81 receptions for 1197 yards and 11 touchdowns. When facing Bryant in 2016, Norman allowed five completions from seven targets for 32 yards with two passes defended. He allowed a passer rating of just 62.8 and 0.48 yards per coverage snap, both well below the league averages of 94.4 and 1.25, respectively. In Week 2 against Bryant, Norman recorded his best single-game grade in a Redskins uniform, with an overall grade of 91.9 and a coverage grade of 91.6.
  • Norman also got a chance to share his feelings on his well-documented rivalry with Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. In 2016, Beckham got the most production out of all Norman’s NFC East matchups. Norman allowed eight completions on 12 targets for 116 yards, with two passes defended. He allowed a passer rating of 97.9 and 1.68 yards per coverage snap, both just above the league averages.
  • Norman also got a chance to prepare for facing new Eagles wideout Alshon Jeffery, as the Redskins took on his former Bears in Week 16 of 2016. Norman saw two of his three total interceptions while in coverage against Jeffery. He allowed four receptions from 8 targets for 78 yards, allowed a passer rating of 44.8 and 1.81 yards per cover snap.
