New Saint RB Peterson earning positive reviews in OTAs

  • New Orleans Saints running back Adrian Peterson has been drawing rave reviews from teammates.
  • Peterson only played 84 snaps in 2016 as he dealt with a knee injury.
  • In 2015, Peterson was second in the NFL with 50 forced missed tackles, but ranked 34th out of 52 qualifying running backs averaged 2.35 yards after contact.
  • In his last healthy season in 2015, Peterson was seventh in the NFL in breakaway percentage with 35.3 percent total yards coming on runs that went for 15 or more yards.
  • In 2012 Peterson had the most explosive year of any running back in the PFF era. He rushed for 15 or more yards 40 times, the most ever in a single season since 2006.
  • Peterson has two of the three highest-graded seasons of any running back by PFF. In 2012, he earned a 97.9 overall grade; in 2010, he earned a 94.5.
