  • Connor Hughes of NJ Advance Media says that he believes RB Matt Forte will be the Jets offensive workhorse this year.
  • Throughout Forte’s career, his grades have increased with a limited snap count. In limited snaps over his last two seasons, he has produced his highest-graded seasons since 2011. In 2014 where he played 1,005 snaps (the highest total of his career), he had an overall grade of 69.0, the second-lowest of his career behind only his second season in the league.
  • The Jets also have the benefit of the emergence of Bilal Powell, who was the eighth-highest-graded running back last year with a grade of 79.4, the highest of his career. From Week 10 on in 2016, Powell was fifth in elusive rating and seventh in yards after contact per attempt, while Forte was 29th and 22nd, respectively, in those two metrics.
