Griffin looks likely to be Seattle starting CB

  • The Seattle Seahawks will reportedly give third-round CB Shaquill Griffin the chance to win the starting right cornerback spot opposite Richard Sherman.
  • Griffin played a lot of off-coverage in college at UCF and made plays in a similar set of coverages to those that the Seahawks run, notching four picks and 11 pass breakups in 73 targets in 2016.
  • Griffin allowed fewer than 40 percent of passes thrown his way to be caught (39.7 percent), the seventh-best mark in the nation.
  • Griffin had the seventh-highest overall PFF grade among cornerbacks in the nation at 87.6.
