Four players Chicago should target on Day 3 of the NFL Draft

  • While Michigan DI Ryan Glasgow might not last until the third day, he would be a great pick at 111 if he fell to the Bears. He graded as the sixth best defensive interior player in the draft class in 2016 and ranked second among DI’s in Pass Rushing Productivity (minimum 200 passing snaps).
  • Kent State CB Najee Murray ranked top 10 in the draft class in yards allowed (223), passer rating allowed (38.4), yards allowed per cover snap (0.65) and cover snaps per reception (19.2), all with a minimum 300 coverage snaps.
  • Even with the acquisition of both Mike Glennon and Mark Sanchez, former Ole Miss QB Chad Kelly could be worth a late pick. He finished 2016 with the eighth best quarterback grade in the class, and the seventh best PFF QB rating of 92.12.
  • A player who could make an immediate impact on the Bears’ offense is Louisiana Tech WR Carlos Henderson. In 2016, among wide receivers with 120-plus targets, Henderson ranked second in fewest drops (4) and had zero drops on deep balls. He also ranked first in YAC per reception.

The four players the Bears will probably end up drafting are Larry, Moe, Curly and Shemp.
