According to the latest report, New York Jets WR Eric Decker says he will be back and ready to practice at the start of training camp.

  • In 2015, Decker ran 387 out of 567 routes from the slot. He dominated there as he ranked fifth among 17 receivers who ran at least half of their routes out of the slot with an average of 1.80 yards per route run and finished third with seven touchdowns.
  • Also in 2015, Decker proved to be one of the most efficient receivers in the NFL: he ranked 11th out of 85 qualified receivers with a 114.1 WR Rating (the passer rating Jets quarterbacks had when targeting Decker).
  • Decker was quite effective in 2015 when targeted on slant routes as he was targeted on slants 18 times, recording 13 catches for 117 yards and four touchdowns. Jets quarterbacks had a 128.9 passer rating when targeting Decker on slants compared to just a 48.6 passer rating when they targeted any other Jets receiver on a slant.
  • Decker has been a model of consistency over his career. Since 2012 he has received overall grades between 77.4-82.7 from PFF every season. No other receiver on the Jets has posted a higher grade in any season over that stretch, with Quincy Enunwa’s 74.9 in 2016 boasts as the best season by any other Jets receiver.
