- On Thursday, Philadelphia cut former Washington LB Steven Daniels just a few weeks after claiming him on waivers. Daniels spent last season on IR after being picked in the seventh-round of the 2016 NFL draft.
- Excellent in run defense, Daniels recognizes plays and reads pulling guards well, as was evident by his NCAA power five-leading 15.2 run stop percentage in 2015.
- During his final year at Boston College, he was asked to rush the passer 93 times and was effective, accumulating 18 total pressures and the 16th-highest pass rush productivity amongst the power five conference inside linebackers (15.9).
- While he does not excel in pass coverage, he may still be able to positively impact any team looking to improve its interior run defense.
