David Quessenberry particpating in OTAs after battling Non-Hodgkin lymphoma

Offensive lineman David Quessenberry had his final round of chemotherapy in April, and is participating in OTAs this month with the Houston Texans.

  • Quessenberry was a sixth-round draft pick in 2013 with the Texans, but in June of 2014, was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin lymphoma. He has spent the last three seasons on the non-football illness list while receiving treatment.
  • Quessenberry played in all four preseason games in 2013, racking up 189 snaps, seventh-most of any guard in the NFL that preseason.
  • Of his 100 pass-blocking preseason snaps in 2013, Quessenberry did not allow a sack, and recorded a pass-blocking efficiency mark of 96.3.
  • He averaged a run-blocking grade of 75.1 through his four preseason games in 2013, with two separate games grading out at a solid 79.8.
