  • According to Mike Kaye of First Coast News, running back TJ Yeldon could be a surprise cut for the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars selected running back Leonard Fournette with the fourth overall pick in this year’s draft.
  • Yeldon started his career with a bang, grading as the sixth best running back (79.1 overall grade) as a rookie in 2015. During that season Yeldon ranked seventh out of 26 running backs with at least 165 attempts in elusive rating (48.9). His 46 forced missed tackles ranked ninth.
  • Along with most of the Jacksonville offense, Yeldon took a sizable step back in 2016. His 69.5 overall grade was good for just 30th of 62 eligible running backs.
  • In 2016 Yeldon had trouble breaking big runs and only 13.1 percent of his yards came on carries of 15 yards or more (47th out of 52).
