  • According to NFL.com's Mike Silver, second-year quarterback Cody Kessler looks set to be the Browns starting quarterback heading into OTAs.
  • Kessler ranked 22nd among quarterbacks with a PFF grade of 74.2 in his rookie season, and while there are concerns about the strength of his arm, accuracy has been one of his strengths since his time at USC.
  • He was the third-highest-graded rookie quarterback in the league, behind Dallas Cowboys starter Dak Prescott (84.9) and Philadelphia Eagles signal-caller Carson Wentz (76.8).
  • While the team added Brock Osweiler from the Houston Texans, he ranked 32nd in the league with a PFF grade of 40.3, and struggled with accuracy issues.
  • The Browns also added rookie Deshone Kizer out of Notre Dame in the second round of this year's NFL draft, with his adjusted completion percentage in 2016 ranking 29th in this draft class.
