Chiefs release DL Jaye Howard

  • Howard played just 360 snaps in 2016 due to injury, earning an overall PFF grade of 63.2, but as a player is markedly better against the run (71.9).
  • In 2015, when fully healthy, he was far better (78.5 grade overall), and notched 36 total defensive stops that season.
  • Even in an injury-shortened 2016 he showed well against the run, and had the second-best run-stop percentage in the league among 3-4 defensive ends.
