Browns add UDFA, former Wolverine CB Channing Stribling

ANN ARBOR, MI - OCTOBER 01: Channing Stribling #8 and teammate Jabrill Peppers #5 of the Michigan Wolverines celebrate a stop for a loss during the second quarter of the game against the Wisconsin Badgers at Michigan Stadium on October 1, 2016 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. • Michigan CB Channing Stribling ranked fourth out of 160 qualified FBS cornerbacks in passes defended in 2016.
  • When opposing quarterbacks threw into Stribling’s coverage, they averaged just a 22.7 PFF quarterback rating in 2016.
  • Stribling also ranked seventh out of 155 cornerbacks in cover snaps per reception (19.9 snaps).
  • Stribling didn't impress at the combine and concerns about his athleticism are likely why he went undrafted, but he was productive enough in these key statistics that seeing him make it in the NFL wouldn't be that much of a shock.
