  • According to ESPN Boston, New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has been impressed with how hard wide receiver Brandin Cooks has worked this offseason. Earlier this offseason the Patriots traded their first-round pick for Cooks.
  • Cooks is coming off his highest-graded season as a pro, ranking in the top 30 at his position for the first time. His 79.3 overall grade ranked 28th out of 115 eligible wide receivers.
  • Throwing Cooks’ direction yielded great results in 2016, as quarterbacks had a passer rating of 119.2 when targeting him, the fifth-highest wide receiver rating. In 2015 Cooks ranked 10th in wide receiver rating at 105.9.
