PFF Week: Back East, Week 11

PFF-Week-Back-EastIt’s your last chance to get caught up on the happenings at PFF before the next slate of games is upon us, and our new ‘PFF Week’ posts provide quick access to the week that was. The ‘Back East’ edition covers all things pertaining to the AFC and NFC East divisions for a one-stop Saturday shop built to keep you in the loop and on top of your football-watching game.

If anyone tells you they have the NFC East figured out they are not to be trusted. Philadelphia, who looked dead in the water at one point this season is now tied atop the division with Dallas. Washington and the suddenly relevant NY Giants are not far behind and will look to pick up ground on the idle Cowboys. In the AFC East things are becoming more clear. Miami looks like a pretender while the Jets are surprising a lot of people at one game over .500. Here’s what the teams back East have officially been up to on Pro Football Focus this week:

Week 10 Wrap

REFO: Washington at Minnesota (TNF)
REFO: Philadelphia at Green Bay
REFO: Buffalo at Pittsburgh
REFO: Oakland at NY Giants
REFO: Dallas at New Orleans (SNF)

Week 10’s 32 Observations looks at quarterbacks in various situations/categories and how they fair compared to the 31 other quarterbacks who have had the most drop-backs for their team. The Bills’s Marcell Dareus was featured on the PFF Team of Week 10 along with safety Aaron WIlliams and Dallas guard Mackenzy Bernadeau. In our Race for Rookie of the Year Sheldon Richardson and Kiko Alonso sits firmly in first and fourth place, while Washington’s Jordan Reed rounds out the top ten. Three of the four Week 10 Secret Superstars were from East teams. Rishard Matthews, Andre Brown and John Conner are all deserving of the praise they got this week.

Looking Ahead to Week 11

In PFF Pick’em our analysts mostly like Philly over Washington, are split on the Jets and Bills game and almost unanimously believe in the Giants. The PFF Power Rankings have the Patriots jumping two spots even thought they were idle, and the Eagle and Giants both making big gains. Finally, you can get up to date with the Three to Focus On previews for this week’s games below.

3FTO: NY Jets at Buffalo
3FTO: Washington at Philadelphia
3FTO: San Diego at Miami
