PFF Week: Back East, Week 10

PFF-Week-Back-EastIt’s your last chance to get caught up on the happenings at PFF before the next slate of games is upon us, and our new ‘PFF Week’ posts provide quick access to the week that was. The ‘Back East’ edition covers all things pertaining to the AFC and NFC East divisions for a one-stop Saturday shop built to keep you in the loop and on top of your football-watching game.

It was an interesting week for East teams to say the least. Miami’s a mess for off the field reasons, while New England and Philadelphia all of a sudden look unstoppable offensively. The Redskins may have played themselves out of the NFC East, while the Giants were idle and improved their standing. The Bills and Jets look overmatched but who knows in wide open conference with lots time left to play. Here’s what the teams back East have officially been up to on Pro Football Focus this week:

Week 9 Wrap

REFO: Cincinnati at Miami (TNF)
REFO: Kansas City at Buffalo
REFO: Philadelphia at Oakland
REFO: San Diego at Washington
REFO: Pittsburgh at New England
REFO: Minnesota at Dallas
REFO: New Orleans at NY Jets

This week 32 Observations put the spotlight back on the 2012 draft class with a statistic about a second year non-quarterback playing significant time for each of the 32 teams. The East teams have a wealth of contributing sophomore players that are featured. The PFF Reaction Blog recaps all of last Sunday’s games, including the wild Eagles blowout in Oakland. In Secret Superstars Dallas’ defensive end Everette Brown is featured. Each team’s best special teamers were on display in Week 9’s Third Phase, including Buffalo standout Marcus Easley and Washington’s kick off specialist Niles Paul.  The Stock Report has both the AFC and NFC East covered in terms of second quarter performers.
