PFF Roundup – Week 11

BeckhamEvery week I look around PFF Main content and features to see what fantasy insight we can take away to help owners going forward. Last week’s spotlight told fantasy owners to start Mike Evans wherever they could. The rookie posted seven catches for 125 yards and a touchdown. This week we’re looking at an emerging talent in Denver, a few veterans still holding value and one passing game no one wants any part of.

Another rookie wide receiver stepping up

Odell Beckham Jr. faced his toughest of his rookie season in Week 10, going up against Richard Sherman and the Seahawks secondary. Beckham came on out top of that battle with seven receptions for 108 yards, and Steve Palazzolo came away impressed by his performance.

In his Giants-Seahawks ReFo, Palazzolo notes that Beckham finished with a +1.9 grade after facing Sherman for much of Sunday’s game. Beckham put a double move in Sherman in the first quarter to break off a 44-yard gain, and two plays later he came down with a 26-yard catch after breaking free from Marcus Bailey.

Beckham has now posted back-to-back 100-yard games. He’s also seen double-digit targets in both of those games. Eli Manning is building a better rapport with his rookie wide receiver, and the duo is posting much better numbers than the Manning-Rueben Randle connection.

Going forward fantasy owners should view Beckham as a solid WR2 who could finish in the top 15 in scoring for the rest of the schedule. Beckham is priced at $6,000 this week in a better matchup with the 49ers. I’m investing my stock in the rookie wherever I can.

The problem with Stewart is the line is too bad to actually consider starting.
