PFF Preview: Raiders @ Chargers, Week 11

2014-Prev-WK11-OAK@SDThe Raiders and Derek Carr continue to look for their first win and will head into San Diego this weekend to take on the Chargers and Eric Weddle.

Weddle is the seventh-rated safety in Run Stop Percentage among those with 175 snaps against the run and comes in at fifth in Tackling Efficiency among safeties with 130 snaps, missing only three tackles all year. Meanwhile, Carr has graded out as the best rookie QB in PFF QB Rating with a 79.61 mark and also leads rookie QBs in touchdowns. He has taken the fewest sacks among rookie QBs and also gets the ball out the fastest with an average time of 2.59 seconds.

The Chargers’ QB has also impressed with his play. Despite some issues the past couple of weeks, Philip Rivers comes in at sixth in PFF QB Rating and ninth in Accuracy Percentage among those with at least 290 drop-backs. On the other side of the ball, ILB Sio Moore is coming off of his best game of the year last week against the Broncos. He finished with a +2.0 overall grade amassing a hit and a hurry as well as all five of his tackles that resulted in stops.

Here are three more notable numbers for each side:

Oakland Raiders

Justin Tuck – Tuck is ranked 10th among 3-4 DEs in Run Stop Percentage with only 121 snaps against the run and has yet to miss a tackle.

Gabe Jackson – The rookie guard has yet to give up a sack on the year through 322 pass block snaps.

Mychal Rivera – Rivera ranks fifth in Yards Per Route Run and fourth in Slot Performance among TEs over the past three weeks.

San Diego Chargers

Antonio Gates – Gates is seventh on the year in Yards Per Route Run and has scored three TDs out of the slot which is tied for the most among TEs.

Corey Liuget – Has accumulated 26 pressures on the year, which is good for fifth among 3-4 DEs with at least 175 snaps in Pass Rush Productivity.

Dwight Freeney – The veteran continues to be effective off the edge with 31 pressures on the year and he is rushing from the right side 84.6% of the time.
