PFF Preview: Patriots @ Jets, Week 16

2014-Prev-WK16-NE@NYJThe (11-3) New England Patriots head to MetLife stadium on Sunday for a week 16 meeting with the (3-11) New York Jets. The Patriots have won two straight and though they have clinched the AFC North already, they still need a win to stay ahead of the Broncos for the AFC’s top seed. The Jets are coming off just their third win of the season last week against the Titans and would love to finish strong against division rivals New England Sunday and the Miami Dolphins next week.

Patriots rookie center Brian Stork has had a solid rookie season, but will have a challenging matchup with Jets nose tackle Damon Harrison this week. Stork grades at -6.4 overall for the season, but has improved in recent weeks. Since Week 11 his overall grade of +3.7 comes in ninth and his +3.0 run blocking grade 11th. Stork’s Pass Blocking Efficiency of 98.1 ranks seventh over that time. On the other side, Harrison’s +15.8 run grade ranks fourth out of all interior linemen, and he also leads in both total run stops with 30 and in Run Stop Percentage at 13.5%.

Here are a few other players to watch for.

New England Patriots

Tom Brady – Brady ranks third overall in our quarterback grading at +24.7 and eighth in PFF Quarterback Rating at 91.75.

Chandler Jones – Despite missing seven weeks, Jones is still has the eighth-highest pass rush grade for a 3-4 outside linebacker at +13.0 and his Pass Rush Productivity rating of 10.5 ranks 16th.

New York Jets
