So Steve joins the pickin' gang this season and gets off to a forgettable start; digging himself a hole through the first six weeks to the point he's trailing the lead by 14 games. He gets married a few weeks back and all of a sudden he's on fire. Not sure what that means, but there are a few guys in the group that may find themselves rushing out to find a bride if it'll bring them the same prognosticating power.
Steve's 23-4 run in the last two weeks has taken him from 51 percent on the year to 59, and has pulled him up out of the cellar. Now riding the caboose? Neil Hornsby. Neil can't remember the last time he logged a double digit-win week (it's been a month now) and even in Week 8 where Nathan gave us all a chance to gain ground, PFF's founder found a way to fall another game back. He's already married, so that tack is out the window.
Checking in on our consensus pick tally, four more successes last week bring the season number to 37-6 (86%). We'll offer another five for Week 9: Washington (over Carolina), Green Bay (over Arizona), Chicago (over Tennessee), Houston (over Buffalo), and Atlanta (over Dallas). See any craziness in there? Or are we on track? Let us know below.
