PFF Pick’em: Week 6

Perhaps hitting stride now, the team enjoyed a fine week with each member collecting double-digit wins and Sam highlighting things with his 13. Gordon, Steve and Khaled notched 12 correct picks of their own, Gordon’s being enough to keep him propped at the top for another week with a 67.1% on the year.

Our biggest consensus of the year so far also did well, with seven of eight coming in to push our season mark to a more respectable 71%. Six such games on the slate for this week as we agreed on Denver, Cincinnati, Green Bay, San Diego, Seattle, and Arizona.

Wow, the Jags are so bad that they’re getting beat by two teams this week!

    • Chris

To be fair, all 31 teams would beat Jacksonville so it doesn’t really matter what helmet they put there.

      • YOLO SWAG

        How’s yo mother’s basement?

        • Josh Knepshield

Sounds like someone’s username is compensating for a very tiny penis. You mad dawg?

          • YOLO SWAG

            At least I have one

        • Chris

          It’s free.

Sam, Sam, Sam . . . . The Rams over SF? Want to place a side bet? :)

  • DrAWNiloc

The unanimity in the Green Bay – Miami game is the only thing that surprises me. No one took Miami, coming off a bye, at home? Even if Moreno doesn’t play I’d rate this game as no worse than a tossup.

Indeed, there are a lot of upsets that wouldn’t shock me in the least: Chicago, Jacksonville, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Dallas and, yes, the Rams. I predict it’ll be a good week for underdogs…against the spread, at least.

    • JC Harris

Have to agree … I am surprised no one took Miami. This has the feel of an upset to me. Someone takes the Bucs over Ravens and Houston over Indy but no one buys into Miami at home? Odd.

    • Tim Lynch

That could be an overreaction to the fact that the Packers have scored 80 points in the last two games, while giving up just 27. I also took the Packers. Because Miami got blown out by the Bills and Chiefs….seriously. How many Bye Weeks can fix that?

      • DrAWNiloc

Understood. However, Green Bay’s 4th best aerial attack is pitted against the 3rd best pass rushers and 4th best coverage in the league. Meanwhile, Miami’s 7th best ground game faces the NFL’s 2nd worst run stuffers. Even if Moreno can’t start and carry a full workload, I would have expected at least three home team voters here.

  • Aaron

Group think really took over on some of these picks. Seriously, only one person took Houston tonight?

    • JC Harris

And in hindsight they were right 😉

  • sevanclaig

Ben is in for a good week. Might even pick up a game on gordo.

  • paulbip

Only 14 dogs were picked out of 120 picks. Why even bother with this.

  • J Burnett

Man, it feels so very, very good to be a diehard Cowboys fan right now–especially since I don’t see my team’s helmet anywhere on this page. Don’t feel too bad, guys: none of the writers on the official team site picked us to win either.
