PFF Pick’em: Week 4

new-pickem-featureWeek 3 of the NFL got the better of our experts, with no one scoring more than 10 correct answers — although Nathan’s 10-6 mark pushed him clear out in front in the overall standings.

The hot run on unanimous picks continued, with last week’s 5-1 result leaving the team 17-3 on the season.

This week, however, the great minds differ, resulting in just three unanimous choices: Denver, Cincinnati, and Indianapolis.

Felt good about the Bears until I saw that Gordon and Steve both picked them. Lots of toss-ups this week.

  • Adam

Nathan consistently ranks the Saints low in the power rankings, but picks them over (the higher rated) Dolphins. When push comes to shove, we know you love them Saints.

    • Spencer

And Neil, who has the Dolphins ranked 9 spots lower in the power rankings, the biggest gap of all the rankers, is the only one to choose them to win.

  • ItsJustWerner

Huh, the people who usually favor the Bears are against them this week, and vice versa for those usually against.

Serious, possibly stupid, question: Does the ability to pick straight winners of football games impact the credibility of someone paid to analyze said football games?

I don’t think so. But I also think PFF isn’t that good at ranking the overall teams. I go with PFF on the individual analysis, FO on the team/O/D/ST analysis, and split on sub-units.
