Packers: Lacy is the perfect fit

PFF-headlinesGreen Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy had an impressive 2013 rookie campaign; rushing for 1,178 yards and 11 touchdowns on his way to a +15.2 overall grade, fifth-best among all running backs. While he was at his best running the ball (+9.3), it was Lacy's competence both as a receiver (+1.7)and as a blocker (+4.1) that made him such a good fit for the Packers’ pass-first offense.

This season Lacy is once again grading well in all three facets. His +7.6 rushing grade is seventh-best in the league, his +7.8 grade in the passing game ranks second, while his +4.0 blocking grade is third-best. Lacy has forced 63 missed tackles and gained 2.84 yards after contact per attempt, on his way to an impressive 69.4 Elusive Rating, the third-best mark this season. He only has one drop this season, giving him a 2.5 Drop Rate, sixth-best among running backs. Lacy has allowed zero sacks and just two hurries all season, giving him a 97.8 Pass Blocking Efficiency score, fourth-best out of 25 qualifying backs.

Lacy's talent in all facets of the game makes him a very dangerous weapon in an Aaron Rodgers led offense.
