mohamed-sanu2Week 2 in the NFL has come and gone and with it has brought yet another round of serious injuries to key players, many of whom have high fantasy football value. While injuries are never welcomed, in the fantasy football realm they open up opportunities for players just a few days prior were marginal at best.

These opportunities for the players thus become opportunities for fantasy football general managers. The waiver wire can be your best friend in these situations. It just depends on how quick you act and the actions of your league-mates.

The waiver wire can be a shark tank in deeper leagues, however, with resources already thin. However, just because you are in a league with 14, 16, 18 or more teams doesn’t mean that there isn’t a starter-worthy player you can snag. You just have to be smart with who you target, as well as timely. With all this in mind, here are the top waiver-wire fantasy football additions for Week 3, with a nod toward helping out you deep-league GMs.

    Hey Andrea, sometimes the discrepancies in ownership between Yahoo! and ESPN astound me . . . what do you attribute the large difference to? Site experts’ opinions, scoring settings, combo of factors, etc.?

    My guess the difference in ownership is due to the massive # of yahoo free leagues.
