For most fantasy football GMs, the season has wrapped, celebration or frustration its ultimate outcome. But in deeper leagues, ones with 16-. 18-, 20- or more teams, the fantasy season can extend into Week 17, simply because of the sheer amount of teams making the playoffs.
If that's the case in your league, then the waiver wire is a place you must camp out this week. With teams having nothing to play for and others having played for enough that their postseason standing won't be jeopardized with a trivial, Week 17 loss, starters will be benched. The men who carried your team all the way to the fantasy championships might not be available to you when you need them the most. The world can be a cruel place.
