Nine deep-dive MFL10 fantasy bargains

When playing MFL10s, the “best-ball” nature of the game makes late-round picks even more important than a season-long league. So long as your first-rounder stays healthy in full-season fantasy, you’re unlikely to ever bench him. And if your last-round guy is a bust, you can easily drop him and move on. In MFL10s, though — where your best players in a given week are named the starters after the fact, and where there are no adds or drops — strong benches are where the real money is made.

You know who the players are — the ones you stare at every time you get past the 13th round of your MFL10 drafts. The nature of an online fantasy draft means everyone playing sees the same list of potential draftees. You struggle to decide who you’re going to take, trying different variations in order to get exposure to a bunch of them.

Today, we’re going to help address those times, focusing on players available outside the top 150 who can make the difference in MFL10s. These are players who don’t need multiple injuries in order to be fantasy relevant; they need one at most, often none. In full-season leagues, you’re taking wild cards and backups and other options that might put up zero points until you drop them. You have no such luxury in MFL10s, and so these guys are the ones who can make the difference of winning and losing. And they cost you essentially nothing.

Jordan Howard, Chicago Bears (ADP 156, RB52)

I was rather surprised to see Howard sitting outside of the top 150 players drafted, but he is. It’s no surprise the Bears were looking for someone to pair with sophomore Jeremy Langford in the draft—they made passes at C.J. Anderson in free agency and, considering Langford’s largely underwhelming rookie season, basically had to get something.
