Who's hot entering Week 16
Recapping the five bounceback candidates from Week 15:
It was the right call not to fear Ben Roethlisberger’s matchup with Denver, as he ranked among the position leaders with another monster performance at cozy Heinz Field. … It was a less fruitful week for the three receivers that were profiled. Allen Robinson proved a viable starting option against Atlanta thanks to his league-leading 13th touchdown, although his five targets were fewer than expected. … DeAndre Hopkins did catch 8-of-11 targets for 94 yards as the Texans’ coaches kept to their word about finding ways to get him the ball, but the lack of a touchdown left Hopkins as only a fringe WR2 in PPR formats. … It’s safe to say I clearly underestimated the ankle injury affecting Calvin Johnson, who saw just one lonely target against the league’s most porous pass defense. At this point, Johnson is simply too dicey to trust with a fantasy title on the line.
Below, we’ll identify some upward and downward trending players heading into a make-or-break Week 16. Recent performance should bear more weight than anything that happened back in September, so we’ll use the past three weeks as the data sample size unless otherwise noted.
