In the fourth and final part in our series on offseason dynasty targets, I’m looking ahead to next year’s sophomore receiving class.
Much has been made about this year’s rookie receiver list, and for good reason. Four rookie wideouts have a shot at 1000 receiving yards – Odell Beckham(already there with 1120), Kelvin Benjamin (999), Mike Evans (997) and Sammy Watkins (925) – while Brandin Cooks was well on pace before his season ending injury. These five were the five first round draft picks of 2014, so it’s fair to say they’ve lived up to the hype thus far.
But what about the rest of the WR class? There are plenty of interesting names drafted after the opening round, and although they haven’t matched the output of their first round colleagues, there is much optimism around their future potential. In dynasty leagues, you might find value in targeting the following instead of the more heralded first rounders.
