Week two continued with a rash of injuries that continue to plague fantasy starting lineups before fantasy seasons even starts. I feel like I am listening to Queen “Another One Bites the Dust” on repeat.
Week 2 of the 2013 preseason shows us again why injuries are the rule and durability is the exception to the rule in football. In the Training Table, I will be providing you with recent news and notes as it pertains to injuries all season here at PFF Fantasy.
Arizona Cardinals
Ryan Williams — Running Back
Injury Date: August 3, 2013 — Knee injection
Fantasy Prognosis: Ryan Williams got a platelet rich plasma injection in his knee 10 days ago. The injection is a result of symptoms from his 2011 patellar tendon rupture. He has not had a chance to practice with the team and appears that he may miss all of the preseason. Williams is starting to draw comparisons to the often injured Chris “Beanie” Wells who was released by the Cardinals last season. Williams has a long road ahead and should not be drafted in redraft leagues until some positive news surfaces about him at practice.
