The Jaguars selection of Luke Joeckel with the second overall pick in April’s draft has many tagging Marcedes Lewis as a fantasy football sleeper at the tight end position.
The reasoning behind the logic is simple: The Jaguars’ offensive line woes over the last few years have forced Lewis to stay in and pass block, which has limited his opportunity for targets.
In the past, you could get away with such an assessment because (A) it seems logical and (B) Pro Football Focus didn’t exist.
