There’s a myth floating around the IDP world that the high-powered Eagles offense is a great fantasy matchup for linebackers. While Philly has been very friendly to defensive backs, they have not been to linebackers. Currently only four teams give up less tackles per game to the position, so you’re going to want to downgrade the Washington tandem of London Fletcher and Perry Riley in this one. … Reed Doughty had 12 total tackles (seven solo) last week, but only played 36 snaps. Doughty is a strong run defender, but it will be tough for him to have fantasy value in a part-time role.
DeMeco Ryans continues to put up strong numbers for the Eagles. With Mychal Kendricks sidelined this past week, Ryans notched 13 total tackles and a pick. He has double-digit tackles in three of his last five games. Kendricks’ injury doesn’t sound serious, but Ryans has shown a very high fantasy ceiling this season. That being said, he does come with some variance and could give you a clunker or two down the stretch. … I’m sticking to my guns on Fletcher Cox, though I would recommend fading him this week as he has to face Trent Williams. That’s one of the worst matchups for defensive ends this season. … Earl Wolff will miss extended time, so Pat Chung is back in the starting lineup for the Eagles. We know Chung can put up decent numbers given the opportunity. We also know that Chung can get hurt on any play.
