- According to Tennessee Titans beat writer Jim Wyatt, rookie WR Taywan Taylor has looked like “a perfect fit in the slot” during OTAs. The Titans selected Taylor in the third round of this year’s draft.
- Taylor was PFF’s seventh ranked wide receiver for the 2017 draft. He finished 2016 with a grade of 84.6, ranking 13th out of 253 qualifying receivers.
- Taylor actually didn’t play too much in the slot at Western Kentucky, giving way to slot wide receiver Nicholas Norris more often than not. Taylor ran a route from the slot on just 16% of his routes, but was targeted 39.4% of the time on those routes.
- In 2016, Taylor averaged 4.85 yards per route run from the slot, which ranked second in the draft class behind now-teammate Corey Davis.
