Roll with Marshawn Lynch at DraftKings
Each week I’ll comb through the options at each position to bring you my picks for the players with the best combination of safety and upside over a wide price range. These are guys you’ll use in cash games for the most part, but there’s nothing wrong with slotting a couple into your tournament lineups as well for stability.
Drew Brees $7800: Everyone who’s seen a DraftKings commercial (this is now a higher number than “everyone and his brother” for the record) will be on Drew Brees for Week 2.
There’s nothing wrong with that.
First, it won’t be everyone, it never is. Second, Brees is a different man at home in New Orleans, and third, the Saints face the Bucs defense that Marcus Mariota just shredded in his debut. Maybe Mariota is otherworldly good, but perhaps the Bucs defense has a lot of gaps. Assuming the latter, Brees, Brandin Cooks, and/or one of my favorite plays, Brandon Coleman should be in your lineups.
