Rams close to signing long-term deal with Robert Quinn?

PFF-headlinesWith Sam Bradford going down in preseason and Chris Long being put on injured reserve (with a designated to return tag) this season hasn't started exactly how St Louis Rams fans would hope. But there is a slither of sunshine amidst the darkness that has engulfed early season ambition and that's courtesy of Rand Getlin who reports the team is close to securing a long term contract with Robert Quinn.

Despite two penalties called to his name Quinn didn't disappoint in his first game of the season as he picked up three quarterback hits and another hurry as the left side of the Vikings line struggled to deal with him.

Of course that is a drop in the ocean compared to what he did in 2013 when we was comfortably our top ranked 4-3 defensive end on the year and led the league with 91 combined sacks, hits and hurries. His 2013 was so impressive he finished second overall in our Top 101 for the year so locking him down is likely to be expensive, but worth it.
