  • According to the Charlotte Observer, Carolina Panthers WR Kelvin Benjamin has looked “leaner” and “quick off the ball”. Benjamin has struggled with weight issues this offseason but Panthers head coach Ron Rivera noted Wednesday that he is “where he needs to be” weight wise.
  • Benjamin had a solid season in 2016 after missing the entire 2015 season with a torn ACL. His overall PFF grade of 80.4 ranked 29th among 115 receivers last season and was the highest grade of his career so far.
  • He proved to be one of the more sure handed wide receivers in 2016, only dropping two of the 65 catchable passes thrown his way for a drop rate of 3.08 which ranked seventh among receivers with at least 87 targets.
  • Benjamin was also one of the more efficient receivers running routes last year. With 1.99 yards per route run, Benjamin ranked 14th among 51 qualifying wide receivers.
