- The Washington Redskins announced Sunday they have placed linebacker/safety Su'a Cravens on the exempt/left squad list. Cravens, who is 22 years old, is reportedly considering retirement.
- In 2016 as a rookie Cravens played 294 snaps at linebacker while dealing with a concussion and an arm injury. His PFF grade of 78.5 ranked 32nd of 95 linebackers that played 250-plus snaps last season.
- Cravens was set to move to strong safety this year but played only three snaps this preseason before suffering a knee injury. Last year he made six stops in only 59 snaps against the run, and led all Redskins inside linebackers in run-stop percentage (percentage of stops per snap played only in run defense) at 10.2 percent.
