- On Wednesday, the Minnesota Vikings confirmed quarterback Sam Bradford will be heading to injured reserve. The team will activate Teddy Bridgewater to take his place. Bridgewater hasn’t played since sustaining a severe knee injury in training camp of 2016.
- Week 1, Bradford started the season on fire putting up what currently stands as the fourth-highest quarterback game grade on the season with a 90.1 grade. Unfortunately for him and the Vikings, it was the last full game he would play this season after sustaining a knee injury. Bradford attempted to come back Week 5 but didn’t look like himself. He produced a 33.0 game grade on 26 snaps before being removed after suffering a setback.
- For now, the Vikings will move forward with Case Keenum as the starter and Bridgewater as his backup. So far this season, Keenum has been a middle of the pack quarterback and currently ranks 16th in the weekly PFF quarterback rankings. In 2015, Bridgewater’s last season healthy, he produced the 15th-highest quarterback grade at 82.1 overall.
