    • Offensive lineman Joe Berger said he liked the way former teammate Chad Greenway was, “able to step away on his own with his timing,” and that he’s thinking about doing the same at the close of his 13th season in the league. Berger has started at both at center and guard in his six seasons with the Vikings. He has been taking first team reps at right guard next to Nick Easton throughout Vikings OTAs.
    • In 2015, Berger finished the season with an overall grade of 88.0 and was ranked the No. 2 center in the NFL. His pass block efficiency of 97.5 ranked him 11th among centers that year.
    • In 2016, Berger started 11 games at center. In his 382 snaps, he surrendered just eight total pressures, tied for fifth fewest among the league’s centers with 175 snaps or more. He was moved to right guard to end the season and earned a pass block efficiency (the PFF statistic that measures pressure allowed on a per-snap basis with weighting toward sacks allowed) of 98.5, ranking him fourth among guards with 100 pass blocking snaps or more.
    • Berger’s performance in 2016 saw him as the eighth highest graded center and the 12th highest graded guard.
