  • Former Missouri Tiger CB Aarion Penton performed at a higher level than a lot of cornerbacks who heard their names called during the 2017 NFL draft, yet the Rams landed him as an undrafted free agent.
  • Penton’s five interceptions in 2016 were seventh most in the nation and second most in the SEC.
  • His 47.5 completion percentage given up was lower than the likes of Cordrea Tankersley, Sidney Jones, Teez Tabor, Kevin King and Adoree’ Jackson, all of whom were drafted in the first three rounds.
  • Penton closed his college career with a 50.3 completion percentage allowed on 171 targets, nine interceptions, 16 passes defended and a passer rating of just 55.8 when throwing into his coverage.
