Titans QB Matt Cassel out six weeks with injured thumb

  • Tennessee Titans QB Matt Cassel injured his throwing thumb Tuesday during organized team activities. He is expected to miss the next six weeks.
  • The last season Cassel didn’t see a below-average grade was 2011. He hasn’t graded above 50 since 2013.
  • 2010 was the last year Cassel saw more than 600 snaps. That season he recorded the seventh best passer rating under pressure (71.4).
  • Last season, Cassel recorded a 100.3 passer rating under pressure, though the sample size was small (58 total dropbacks). Titans starting QB Marcus Mariota, who ranked 12th in passer rating under pressure (min. 400 dropbacks), had a mark of 72.6.
