- According to reporter Paul Kuharsky, Tennessee Titans franchise quarterback Marcus Mariota “has been doing everything” for the last two weeks. Mariota has been rehabbing from a serious leg injury suffered in Week 16 last season and hopes to be available for the start of Titans training camp next week.
- Mariota ranked 13th in the NFL in quarterback rating when kept clean last season at a clip of 103.3, which was an increase from 95.2 in his 2015 rookie season.
- However, Mariota’s quarterback rating when under pressure took a step back in 2016, falling from 82.0 in 2015 to 72.6 in 2016
- Both of those numbers figure to improve this season as the Titans made it a priority to improve the weapons at Mariota’s disposal by signing former Jets WR Eric Decker and drafting WR Corey Davis with the fifth pick in the draft.
