- According to the Houston Chronicle's Aaron Wilson, WR Jaelen Strong is down to just 198 pounds entering a critical third year in the league, a significant drop in weight from the 215 he entered the league at.
- Strong has played just 619 total snaps across two years since entering the NFL, catching 61.7 percent of the passes sent his way, but has yet to see more than 24 targets over a season (albeit injury curtailed seasons).
- Strong gained just 0.69 yards per route run in 2016, less than half the figure managed by DeAndre Hopkins and way short of Will Fuller's 1.22 mark, but he was still clear of Braxton Miller (0.43), his primary competition for targets in Houston entering camp.
