Texans, TE Fiedorowicz agree on 3-year extension

  • Per Adam Schefter, the Houston Texans have given tight end C.J. Fiedorowicz a three-year, $21.5 million extension with $10 million guaranteed.
  • Fiedorowicz excelled in the slot last year, snagging four touchdowns, tying with Cincinnati Bengals Tyler Eifert for third-most among tight ends. His 2.10 yards per route run from the slot was third-most among 32 qualifying tight ends.
  • While starting his career off slowly, Fiedorowicz has seen continued improvement each year. He has seen overall grades of 42.5, 71.1, and 78.6 since entering the league in in 2014. His 78.6 in 2016 was the 16th-highest among 62 qualifying tight ends last year, good for second-highest in the AFC South.
