Seahawks trade CB Brock to the Vikings

  • The Seattle Seahawks traded veteran cornerback Tramaine Brock to the Minnesota Vikings Friday in an exchange for a seventh-round pick, only a few weeks after signing him as a free agent.
  • After acquiring Justin Coleman in a trade with the Patriots early Friday, the Seahawks appear content going into the season with rookie Shaq Griffin and veteran Jeremy Lane opposite Richard Sherman. Griffin allowed just an 81.6 rating into his coverage this preseason, playing 73 of his 82 snaps at right cornerback.
  • The Vikings appear far from comfortable with youngsters Trae Waynes and Mackensie Alexander opposite Xavier Rhodes, as both players allowed a passer rating above 100 in preseason action and have accumulated only 862 career snaps between the two.
  • Brock played 966 of his 1099 snaps on the outside a season ago, and played well, earning an 81.7 overall grade while surrendering just a 50.0 completion percentage on 94 passes into his coverage.
