Saints to host Leodis McKelvin for a work out.

  • According to Ian Rapoport, the New Orleans Saints will host cornerback Leodis McKelvin for a workout on Friday. Mckelvin is now 32 years old and hasn’t had any interest since being cut by the Eagles six months ago. Fellow corner back Tharold Simon will also be in attendance for a workout.
  • McKelvin has had three consecutive poor seasons after earning a career high 86.8 overall grade in 2013 (ninth among cornerbacks). In 2016 his overall grade of 60.8 ranked just 71st out of 110 qualifying cornerbacks.
  • His 2.28 yards allowed per cover snap last year were the most among 117 cornerbacks who played at least 175 snaps. He allowed the 15th highest passer rating into his coverage (113.0) including giving up seven scores.
