  • New Orleans Saints OT Terron Armstead told the New Orleans Times-Picayune that he is “a little bit ahead” in his rehab. Armstead has been recovering from surgery to a repair a torn labrum since June and is expected to start the season on the PUP list, which will cost him the first six games of the season.
  • Armstead missed the majority of the 2016 season battling leg injuries as he was limited to just 397 snaps, the second-lowest single-season total of his career. Despite this he still finished second in 2016 with a pass-blocking efficiency of 97.6, allowing seven total pressures on just 240 pass-block snaps (PBE measures pressure allowed per-snap with weighting toward sacks).
  • His overall PFF grade did drop slightly from his superb 2015 season. In 2016, Armstead ranked 19th with an overall PFF grade of 83.6, compared to the 2015 season when he ranked third with an overall PFF grade of 90.6.
