Rookie tackle Dion Dawkins is in the mix to start at RT for Buffalo

  • According to Vic Carucci of Buffalo News, Buffalo Bills rookie Dion Dawkins will compete with fifth year tackle Jordan Mills for the starting right tackle job.
  • Dawkins was taken 63rd overall in the 2017 NFL Draft, and ended his career at Temple with an overall grade of 80.4 in 2016, ranking 20th of 311 offensive tackles. He allowed just nine total pressures on 443 pass blocking snaps in 2016, earning him a pass block efficiency of 98.4, the third-highest in this year's draft class.
  • Jordan Mills finished the 2016 season with an overall grade of 44.2, which ranked 64th of 78 offensive tackles in the NFL. He allowed 57 total pressures, (the league's 5th highest mark among tackles) and his pass block efficiency of 91.9 ranked 56th of 61 offensive tackles in the NFL.DAWKINS PBE
