  • Through two games, New England Patriots rookie edge defender Deatrich Wise has provided a much needed pass-rush for the Patriots. This week against the New Orleans Saints he put up one of the top game grades of the week among edge defenders at 86.4 overall.
  • Wise earned himself more playing time after his Week 1 debut in which he pressured the quarterback twice on just nine pass rush snaps, one of those pressures being a sack. Taking full advantage of the extra snaps, Wise had a huge game, registering five total pressures on 27 pass rush snaps, including a sack and three hits on the quarterback.
  • As it currently sits (one game to go this week), Wise ranks fourth among 4-3 defensive ends in pass-rush productivity with a mark of 16.9.
