Refocused: Denver Broncos 20, Green Bay Packers 17

Green Bay opened the game by quickly pulling ahead on the strength of a field goal and a Ty Montgomery rushing touchdown. However, Denver would respond with a field goal of their own and a C.J. Anderson rushing touchdown to keep it tied at half time.

While Green Bay would add another touchdown on a Brett Hundley run, Denver would win the game 20 to 17 after a Kyle Sloter touchdown pass to Hunter Sharp and another Brandon McManus field goal. With that. we give you our PFF exclusive takeaways from the contest for each team.

QB Trevor Siemian, 75.2 overall grade

Siemian had an efficient game overall, finishing with a grade of 75.2. However, he struggled while under pressure, completing only 3 of 8 passes for 9 yards while also throwing an interception. Siemian and his receiving corps will hope to be in better sync Week 1 of the regular season, as they dropped four of his passes on the evening.

Matt Paradis, 81.0 overall grade

Paradis was the Broncos highest graded offensive player at 81.0. Paradis was impressive in the run game which led to his 83.3 grade in that department. Each member of the Broncos starting offensive line allowed a pressure with rookie LT Garrett Bolles surrendering three.

DI Shelby Harris, 92.6 overall grade

Harris was dominant all night long against the Packers’ offense. Harris picked up an impressive three run stops. He was even more impressive as a pass-rusher as he earned 3 sacks on the night on 24 pass-rush snaps, including the game-clinching sack of Brett Hundley.

CB Brendan Langley, 82.8 overall grade

The third-round rookie from Lamar, Brendan Langley played his best game as a pro against Green Bay. Langley saw 5 passes enter his coverage against the Packers and only 3 were caught for only 20 yards. Langley also broke up a pass and the passer rating when throwing into his coverage was 68.8.

Davis caught 3 of his 4 targets – against 3 different coverage defenders – and added 39 yards after the catch. The passer rating when throwing to Davis was 105.2 against the Broncos.

HB Aaron Jones, 76.0 overall grade

The rookie from UTEP saw a team-high 7 carries and fought for 50 yards after contact and forced one missed tackle against the Broncos’ defense.

DI Christian Ringo, 87.0 overall grade

Third-year player Christian Ringo has graded well throughout the preseason and he continued that with a grade of 87.0. The Louisiana-Lafayette product recorded two stops in the run game and a forced fumble which earned him the best run defense grade among the Packers front seven at 86.5.

DI Mike Daniels, 83.9 overall grade

DI Mike Daniels was in regular season form as he recorded a sack, hurry and quarterback hit and amassed a pass rush grade of 87.0, which was tops on the team. Daniels had 14 pass rush snaps and recorded a pass rush productivity of 17.9.
